Happy Summer Everyone!
Whether you plan on enjoying
BBQ’s, summer beach trips
or summer vacations, I hope
that you and your loved ones
have a fantastic summer
and remember to stay safe!
Although summer is a season
that reminds us of fun and
leisure, we also know that in
our profession, our work is
never done. We work around the clock, and are
always here to support our patients, and for that I
The commitment and support that you show on a
regular basis is the reason that working in healthcare
is so rewarding. Yes, we all have those days that are
busy and overwhelming, but making a difference in
our community and the lives of our patients makes
it all worthwhile. When we all work together for the
common good of our patients we are unstoppable.
This summer, I encourage each and every one of
you to get involved and be active in our community.
Branch out and volunteer at one of our sponsored
events and show your Los Robles pride by
representing us in the community. Being active in
our community makes all the difference! At the end
of the day, we are ALL here for the same reason;
for the well-being of our patients. Don’t be afraid to
show it! I feel blessed to be a part of this organization
and look forward to stepping up our engagement
level. Remember, we are committed to being the
community’s most trusted resource for health and
a regional destination for care.
Here’s to being engaged!
Message from our CEO
With the rush of bicyclists speeding
down the starting line, thousands
of people gathered in beautiful
Westlake Village on Sunday, May
18, for a chance to see their favorite
racers compete in the final leg of
the Amgen Tour of California.
Los Robles Hospital & Medical
Center didn’t miss a beat in
joining in on the fun. As a major
sponsor of the event, we hosted
a VIP tent, in partnership with
the City of Thousand Oaks, that
housed a viewing lounge and
breakfast and lunch buffets. We
also had a lifestyle booth for the
general public that featured staff
members and volunteer nurses
rallying together to teach hands-
only CPR. With the vivacious beat
of “Staying Alive” playing in the
background, guests of all ages
stopped by to learn how they can
save a life. Participants were also
able to pick up some of the latest
Los Robles giveaways - retro
wayfarer sunglasses, lip balm and
tote bags. It wasn’t long before
the event grounds were filled
with a sea of bright green and
As the race came to an end, we
were reminded of the wonderful
community that we are a part of
and the relationships we have
built over the years.
